The Fusil d'Assaut de la Manufacture d'Armes de St-Etienne. Favourite tool of the French military. I’ve owned this baby for about a year now and its yet to let me down. Renowned for an impressive rate of fire, it’s a must have for room clearances. It has a sturdy build and comes with a large battery as standard allowing for continued use long after others have run out of charge. Most certainly the gun is better for close quarters encounters as the construction does not allow for any accuracy in long range. My SV has seen a fair bit of combat and its come back in one piece every time. I have customised mine cosmetically converting it to the stubbier G2 variety. I’ve mounted a reflex scope to the carry handle and a high powered torch to its base. On occasion I have fitted a full metal bi-pod onto a weaver fitting and most recently, I have fitted a stubby silencer to complete the look.
For points against the gun, I would have to say the lack of accessories available for the gun is poor at best. Most of the modifications I have made have required a drill and a hacksaw and the lack of weaver rails is disappointing. The placement of the sights makes accuracy a negative point as well.
However if you are looking for a sturdy Bull-pup rifle for use in the CQB to mid range field, this is the gun for you. With a 60 round lo-cap available up to a 300 round hi-cap you have the choice of mil-sim realism or trigger happy mayhem.
Plans for the future - M203 Launcher and High Powered Spring
