Optac CQB."The Stan"

Wayne,Chris and myself went for a game at the old SYA CQB site in Sheffield,heres a quick site review.

Site is the old Stanley Tools building just off the Barnsley road,the site is much bigger than when SYA used it as the whole site including the outside will eventually be used.
Sunday we used roughly the same area as the old SYA layout.
The previously inaccessible lower office block floor is now a big safe area which also houses admin,briefing room,range,shop and a sleeping area.The safe has plenty of benches with tables as well as cleaning kit FOC.

The morning briefing was given in the seated briefing room,all rules explained in good plain English,all questions answered.

Site wise its hard to describe fully as we only used about 30% of it as most of the areas need work,but even so it plays very well already as the site staff have obviously done a lot of work to make the usable areas better than the previous operator.Improvements are along the lines of cutting new doorways in walls to improve access and game flow,barricades placed with some thought instead of dumping them anywhere.

Marshalling was excellent,some of the best I've seen on any site.

Games were fast ,varied and never boring.

I saw NO cheating or "teddys out of prams",I think this down to the sites ethos of honest no BS play and honest no BS staff.

Would I go again ? Too damn right,"The Stan" is one of the best sites I've played in ages.

What are the semi/full auto rules?

Good summary, only point would be that it's off Rutland Road, not Barnsley Road. Wink

Full-auto, everywhere.

350 fps MAX...

...all guns were chrono'd, and stickered, which was good to see.

TLS FX grenades, Mk5 etc allowed inside, no pyro outside (for the time being, until they run 'em past the local Environment people (council).
