Ah so we have come full circle! |
OK, it's MTP...
...the Crye designed "British" camo, that will shortly be issued to our troops in Afghanistan, and then replace DPM totally in the inventory.
MTP stands for Multi Terrain Pattern.

New direction again:
Country is pretty obvious, but what's the pattern?

Yep, "Blue Shadow" (the one closest the camera is standard "Shadow").
Both "urban" variants of Tigr / Kamysh.
Now, see how many you can get from this one:

The guy at the very rear; standing up appears to be wearing Russian Flora. The DPM-A-Like is Russian Smog, far right with a PKM is The Russian Partizan suit; or a slight variation of.
Not sure about the guy on the far left though.
Is the photo from the other Year with the trouble in Ossetia, by any chance?

Good on all counts.
The chap who's stood up is wearing "Flora", as is the guy furthest left with the "Peacemaker" blue band round his helmet, although they are different colour variants. Quite a few of them wear Flora caps too.
The fella closest (with the PKM) is indeed wearing "Partizan", and most of the others are wearing "Smog", as you said.
The two on the left are tricky...
...furthest left is wearing "Flektar-D"in my opinion, the Russian variant of "Danish Pletsloring", but I've seen it reported as a copy of "Finnish M/05", I'll let you make your own judgement on that, not easy given the photo' quality...
...and next to him, the chap with the Vintorez, seems to be wearing a "VSR" top, and "Les" or "Nato" trousers.
Amazing what you can wear for a quick trip to Georgia!

This one is too easy, but I thought I'd add it anyway:
Oh, and if anyone says MarPat, they may find a MkV where they don't want one!
